Rules, Procedures & Documents Required For Admission

Rules & Procedure

  1. The course for the degree of Bachelor of Arts/Science/Commerce shall be of three years duration.
  2. Admission to the First Year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. courses shall start immediately after the declaration of results by the Goa Board of Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (HSCCE).
  3. Admissions will be open for a specific period of time. A student cannot obtain admission after thirty days of commencement of the First Term.
  4. Students who have passed any examination equivalent to the examination conducted by the Goa Board, will be granted ‘Provisional’ admission. Confirmation of their admission is subject to the submission of an ‘Eligibility Certificate’ issued by the Registrar of Goa University before the end of the academic year failing which, their admission shall be rendered null and void.
  5. Students will be required to submit particulars regarding their employment status at the time of admission. The decision regarding the admission of employed students shall rest with the Admission committee and the Head of the Institution.
  6. Admission to foreign students will be granted if their passport contains a ‘provisional student’s visa’ and on fulfilling the criteria as specified by Goa University.
  7. After the initial screening of Admission Forms, the student shall be required to be present for an interview accompanied by a parent (either mother or father). Applicants shall be notified about the date/time of interview on the College Notice Board.
  8. All admissions are valid for one academic year and will have to be renewed for every subsequent year.
  9. All admissions will be based on merit, availability of seats and, on fulfillment of criteria as specified by the Goa University and the College Authorities.
  10. Students will be required to submit their completed Application Forms alongwith the fees prescribed by the Goa University, within the time period specified by the College. 11. Reservations of Seats for SC/ST/OBC will be as per Govt. Rule. Goa University has started Choice Based Credit System from 2017-18.

Documents Required

First Year – B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc.

  1. Application Form of Admission (Form A).
  2. Parent Teacher Association Membership Form (B).
  3. Form for details for Identity card (Form C).
  4. Anti-Ragging Undertaking Forms (Annexure I & II).
  5. Original Mark sheet of H.S.S.C./Equivalent Examination.
  6. Two self- attested Copies of the H.S.S.C./Equivalent Examination.
  7. Original and two self- attested Copies of H.S.S.C. Leaving certificate.
  8. Attested latest photocopy of Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority (if applicable).
  9. Students belonging to SC/ST/OBC should furnish the Caste and Income Certificates from the Competent Authority while submitting Admission Forms.
  10. Eligibility Certificate (in original) issued by Goa University and a Migration Certificate (for those students who have passed Std. XII or any other equivalent examination through any recognized Board, other than Goa Board, if applicable).
  11. Five copies of recent passport-sized photographs in FORMAL DRESS. No photos in T-shirts will be permitted.
  12. Above documents to be uploaded at the time of online admission and hard copies is to be submitted to office later.

Second Year – B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc.

  1. Two self- attested copies of F.Y. (Sem I and Sem II) mark sheets.
  2. Original mark sheet of F.Y. (Sem I& II) examination.
  3. Students of other colleges (affiliated to Goa University) should submit N.O.C. from their respective college.
  4. Students from other colleges (not affiliated to Goa University) should submit Provisional Eligibility Certificate issued by Goa University and Migration Certificate and Transference Certificate from their respective Universities.
  5. Five copies of Recent Passport-sized Photographs in FORMAL DRESS. No photos in T-shirts will be permitted.
  6. Admission number (from the I-Card issued in the 1st year) and University Registration Number (as per the University Registration Card issued in the 1st year).

Third Year – B.A. / B.Com / B.Sc.

  1.  Two self- attested copies of F.Y. (Sem I and Sem II) and S.Y. (Sem III and Sem IV) mark sheets.
  2.  Original mark sheet of F.Y. (Sem I& II) and S.Y.(Sem III & IV) examination.
  3.  Students of other colleges (affiliated to Goa University) should submit N.O.C. from their respective colleges.
  4.  Students from other colleges (not affiliated to Goa University) should submit Provisional Eligibility Certificate issued by Goa University   and  Migration Certificate and Transference Certificate from their respective Universities.
  5.  Five copies of Recent Passport-sized Photographs in FORMAL DRESS. No photos in T-shirts will be permitted.

Rules & Documents Required – F.Y B.B.A.

  1. The merit list for admitting the students to FYBBA class shall be based on 50% weightage for test score (UGAT or /internal test conducted by the college), 30% weight for personal interview score and 20% weight for the score in HSSC or equivalent examination.
  2. Students shall submit an application in the prescribed form duly filled and signed by him/her along with following documents.
    1. S.S.C. Mark list in original along with three attested copies of it.
    2. School Leaving Certificate in original.
    3. Eight copies of recent Passport size photographs.
    4. Aaadhar Card Copy
  3. No admission shall be regarded as duly granted unless it is granted by the Principal/Director and the necessary fees have been received by the college along with required documents.
  4. All admissions are valid only for the academic year and are required to be renewed by application in the prescribed form for every subsequent year to continue studies in the college.
  5. Students belonging to Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribes/OBC should furnish the caste and income certificates from the Competent Authority, while submitting the admission forms.
  6. All the admission are provisional until all the necessary certificates such as the Final Eligibility Certificate, HSSC Passing Certificate, and Transfer Certificate etc. are submitted to the college.
  7. The documents such as Leaving Certificate, Migration Certificate are not returned, if the admission to the course is confirmed, though the students leave the college before completion of the course.
  8. Admission will be closed as soon as the numbers of the seats allotted by the University to the college are filled.
  9. Email ID will have to be compulsorily provided by the student.

Admission For SY B.B.A. & TY B.B.A.

The students should renew the admission with the necessary fees before the commencement of the next academic year as per the notices displayed on the notice board subject to meeting the requirements of the ordinance from time to time.

Documents Required

  1.  An original mark sheet of H.S.S.C./Equivalent Examination
  2.  Two attested copies of the H.S.S.C./Equivalent Examination.
  3.  An original copy of H.S.S.C. leaving certificate
  4.  One attested copy of the H.S.S.C. leaving certificate
  5.  Attested photocopy of caste certificate issued by competent authority (if applicable).
  6.  Eligibility certificate (in original) issued by Goa University
  7.  Migration certificate (for those students who have passed Std. XII or any other Equivalent Examination through any other recognized   Board other than Goa Board)
  8.  Income Certificate issued by Competent Authority (if applicable)
  9.  Five copies of recent passport sized photographs. No photos in T-shirts will be permitted.

Documents Required

  1.  Dully filled in Admission Form.
  2.  TY. B. Com/ Equivalent mark list in original with its two attested copies.
  3.  TY. B. Com leaving certificate in original.
  4.  Five copies of recent passport sized photographs in formal dress.
  5.  Eligibility certificate, Caste Certificate, Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate if required.

Documents Required

  1.  Dully filled in Admission Form.
  2.  TY. B. Sc./ Equivalent mark list in original with its two attested copies.
  3.  TY. B. Sc. leaving certificate in original.
  4.  Five copies of recent passport sized photographs in formal dress.
  5.  Eligibility certificate, Caste Certificate, Transfer Certificate and Migration Certificate if required.

Payment of Fees

  1. Once a student is granted admission to the college, he/ she shall pay the prescribed fees within the specified time failing which the admission shall be cancelled.
  2. A student once admitted will be considered as duly enrolled unless he/she informs the Principal in writing about his/her intention to  leave the college at least a week before the commencement of the second term. In case no such intimation is received, the student shall be liable to pay full fees for the second term.

Discontinuation from College

In case the student, after joining college, applies for the admission to the professional or other college he/she should inform the Principal in writing and also if the student wishes to leave the college for any reason he/she should inform the Principal immediately in writing. If a student does not report to college for more than 15 days without prior information, then the college may cancel admission of such student.

NOTE : Fees shall be refunded as per the rules of the Goa University.
