Tree Plantation Programme – A Green Initiative

Dnyanprasarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao, organized the Tree Plantation – A Green Initiative on 11th July 2026 . The programme was inaugurated by Mrs. Delilah Lobo, Hon’ble MLA, Siolim Constituency and Vice Chairman, Entertainment Society of Goa, in the distinguished presence of Mr. Kiran Hanumant Shirodkar, Chairman, Dnyanprasarak Mandal.

As part of the initiative, 400 arecanut saplings were planted across the college campus with the active participation of the management, principal, faculty members, staff, and students. The plantation drive aimed to enhance the green cover of the campus, promote environmental conservation, and instill a sense of responsibility towards sustainable development.

The event reflected the institution’s commitment to creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier environment while encouraging the college community to contribute meaningfully towards ecological preservation. The programme concluded with a pledge by all participants to nurture the saplings and continue supporting environmental initiatives in the future.
