The Department of Chemistry organized an Industry Visit to Unichem Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., located at Pilerne, Bardez – Goa, on 13th September 2025 for SYBSc students.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical industrial exposure and a better understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing process, along with insights into quality control, safety standards, and sustainability practices followed in the industry.
🧪 Key Learning Highlights
The visit offered students an opportunity to observe real-world operations and understand the diverse roles and responsibilities across departments within a pharmaceutical company.
Students also visited the on-site Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), where the Safety Officer elaborated on the importance, significance, and functioning of the ETP, emphasizing its crucial role in maintaining environmental safety and industrial sustainability.
👩🎓 Participation
A total of 23 students participated enthusiastically in the visit, gaining valuable practical insights that connected their classroom learning with real industrial applications.
The students were accompanied and guided by Ms. Pranaya Naik.
