The Department of Computer Applications, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, organized an industrial visit to Commscope, Verna for the T.Y. B.C.A. students on 22nd August 2026.
The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to fibre optic cable networking, its applications, and its role in modern communication systems. It offered students an opportunity to connect their classroom learning with real-world industrial practices and gain a better understanding of communication infrastructure.
The students were accompanied by Mr. Prasann Mayekar, Ms. Anupa Naik, and Ms. Monisha John during the visit.
🔬 Learning Experience
The industrial visit provided students with valuable insights into fibre optic cable networking and its practical applications. Students were able to observe and understand how concepts related to networking and communication systems are implemented in an industrial environment.
As part of the learning experience, students also underwent an ISA evaluation based on their learning and observations during the industrial visit.
