As part of the paper “Introduction to the Folktales in India,” the Department of English organized a film outing on 25th September 2025 under the Chalchitra Cine Club (C³) initiative.
A group of 40 students watched the film Dashavtar at Mall De Goa, a movie that creatively weaves together the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu with strong ecological and moral messages.

The screening offered students a vivid cinematic experience of Indian folklore, allowing them to explore mythological storytelling through a modern lens.
It also encouraged reflection on contemporary issues such as climate change, environmental protection, and the interconnectedness of tradition and nature.
