The Department of Geology, in association with the Directorate of Higher Education, Goa, successfully organized a Two-Day National Conference titled “GEOCONCLAVE 2025” on Recent Trends in Geoscientific Studies in Goa on 26th and 27th September 2025.

The event aimed to bring together academicians, researchers, and industry professionals to discuss emerging trends, innovations, and research findings in various branches of Geoscience.


👩‍🎓 Participation and Presentations

The conference received an overwhelming response with a total of 79 participants from across the country.
Among them were:

  • 🗣️ 24 Oral Presenters

  • 🖼️ 6 Poster Presenters

Participants represented universities, research institutions, and industry sectors, contributing to rich academic exchanges and collaborative discussions.


🏛️ Dignitaries and Sessions

The Chief Guest for the Inaugural Function was Dr. Prasanna Kumar S., Former Director, CSIR–NIO, Goa, who inaugurated the event and addressed the gathering with an insightful talk on the importance of geoscientific research in sustainable development.

The Valedictory Function was graced by Mr. Narayan Prasad, Head – Mineral Resources, Sociedade De Fomento Industrial Pvt. Ltd., who appreciated the efforts of the organizers and encouraged participants to continue contributing to innovative geological research and environmental stewardship.

The conference received excellent feedback from participants for its diverse sessions, quality of research presentations, and smooth organization.
The event served as a platform for knowledge exchange, fostering networking and collaboration between students, researchers, and professionals from academia and industry.
